Sometimes all we really need, is to give ourselves permission to step back, take a deep breath, and go inside.
Not inside your house, not inside your neighbor’s house, but deep within to the place where we have a knowing of the path moving forward.
Not always the easy path, but certainly the best path for us. We need to give ourselves permission to make that tough decision that we know we need to do. In a corporate setting people will say, “I just had a gut feeling”. “Trust your intuition.” Truth, not just in business, but in all that we do. We have much more control than we want to admit.
Other people are quick to give advice. We listen intently. After all, sometimes it seems easier to let someone else take the wheel for a while. Well-meaning friends, family, coworkers, all freewheeling advice. How quick are we to give up the helm? And it seems even easier during turbulent waters. As easy as this seems, it can get out of control in the blink of an eye. The way out of a struggle can always begin with granting ourselves the permission to take the next step no matter how easy or difficult.
We want to use this permission as a foundational principle to attain true peace and find inner guidance. There is a permission and an order to Love. It starts with permission to love ourselves and trust our inner guidance.
We have been taught from an early age to love everyone. Serve everyone. Listen to our elders, listen to authority, obey our parents. There is nothing wrong with this, however, FIRST, we must listen to ourselves. Sounds selfish? Maybe. But, without this as the first step, things like peace, love, joy, happiness will continue to make random appearances. We will not be able to achieve consistent alignment.
Listen to yourself. Listen to your guidance. Whether you believe this is inner guidance or spirit led, PERMISSION is the difference between NO PEACE and KNOWING Peace.
Remember – You are at the Helm!
